My Favourite Song of the Moment

D’Masiv: Cinta Ini Membunuhku – My current favourite song of the moment.

The first time I heard this song over the radio it really made an impression on me. It sounded true, in a sense that what story, emotion and mood the lyricist, song writer and singer wanted to convey comes across so clearly, so purely.

I like how simple the melancholy lyrics just works.

I’m watching the game!

The last time Chelsea came down Malaysia lost 4 – 1. Even if they don’t win I hope our boys can at least improve the scoreline.

Woohoo! Scored a couple of tickets for Chelsea vs. Malaysia tonight (courtesy of Samsung – technically)

I’m not a fan of EPL or anything but I’m still going because it’ll be interesting to see how the 14th edition of the Malaysian selection team will fair against the likes of Ballack, Lampard and Drogba. [Update 29Jul08/1131hrs: Peeps says Drogba’s not playing, not even here.]

To a certain extent I think it’s safe to say we all can predict what the outcome will be but I hope Sathianathan’s boys will at least put up a fight. And this time I hope it’s not just in the first half.

Speaking of EPL, I hate it. It’s no fault of the league itself, they play good football there in England. It’s the Malaysian posers and losers who are so fanatical about EPL teams, that I am sick of.

I can’t put a finger on it but these people just drive me nuts.

FAM Website Down – Tonight’s Results Confirmed(?)

As of 0149hrs Jul 29, FAM site still down! (Click for larger image)

I’m going to the game tonight and was looking up the past performance of our national squad – just for fun. Naturally the best place to look for all these things would be the Football Association of Malaysia official website.

Guess what, the site is down!

How la Malaysia? How am I supposed to be proud like this?

How can the site be down now? At this critical time when Chelsea fans from around the world are looking. The big game is tonight and we can’t even find information about our national squad. Malu!

Click! Snap! Again

The gang again – LtoR Meor (new addition), Peeps, Rudy and Me! (Click on picture for more freaky snaps)

I didn’t know what the event was all about and I didn’t care. Important thing was I had fun.

It’s been too long since all of us got together and did stuff. We had fun back then working long hours in a small studio in Bangsar. After I left the place, we did work together once in while on ad-hoc projects but ultimately we all went our separate ways.

Now, since we all have the same hobby, outings like this will be more frequent.

In fact we’re planning one soon. Updates as it happens. Then Rudy can teach me more stuff. Then I can be the kind of photographer I’ve always wanted to be – a better one.

Also, Narisha likes photography too. It’s unfortunate that we only can afford one D-SLR at the moment. Let’s see if things get better in the comming months, I would really love to get her one.

Then we can go out photography outings together, just like how we did during her college days.

Can’t wait for that to happen again.

Friends with Benefits

Friends with benefits – best of both worlds? (Click for enlarged view)

It’s Friday, the weekend is just around the corner and I thought that this is funny.

Chupa Chups

Chupa Chups turns 50 this year. Who would’ve thunk.

Hey did you know that the world’s favourite sucker turns 50 this year?

Yeap, the lollipop – Chupa Chups – the one that I am pretty sure all of us grew up with was invented exactly 50 years ago.

iPhone 3G for Malaysia

iPhone 3G: Apple says its twice as fast. Half the price. I’d love to give it a go

Ok so Apple launched the iPhone 3G in 20 something countries earlier this month. All this means naught to me as the sexy device is not going to be available in Malaysia anyway.

But I hope it won’t stay that way for long. I hope one of the local telcos with have the brains and the brawn to bring the iPhone 3G to Malaysia.

It’s a cool, practical and stylish device. I don’t see a reason why it shouldn’t be available here and I seriously don’t understand why some of the poorest countries in the world are listed on Apple’s official site slated to launch the iPhone 3G later this year.

For Malaysia to be left out is an abomination and just opens doors for hackers and crackers to make a quick buck selling grey imports. Rumour has it that the iPhone 3G is retailing for RM4.2k at Low Yat!

And for Singapore to be launching the iconic device in as little as two months time is just too much la. Its not enough they took that piddly rock from us is it?

On the upside, I’m glad to see that somebody has created this blog. It’s an online petition to convince local telcos to actually give what the consumers want.

And this group of consumers including me want the iPhone 3G here in Malaysia. It has to be official, legit and affordable.

I’ve signed the online petition and encourage the you do the same if you feel the same way. There’s nothing to loose if you do sign the petition but there’s a lot to gain if a telco actual does bring in the iPhone 3G to Malaysia

I’m number 299 on the petition by the way.
